AC Milan are lining up a multi-million pound double swoop for Didier Drogba and Steven Gerrard, according to Tuttosport.
The Rossoneri are set for a summer revolution following a hugely disappointing season.
A number of veterans at the club will be shipped out, including the likes of Giuseppe Favalli, Serginho and Cafu.
Under-performing players such as Alberto Gilardino and Yoann Gourcuff will also be sold in order to make way for some new star names.
Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho could replace Carlo Ancelotti as coach, and his first moves on the transfer market will be to try to sign Didier Drogba and Steven Gerrard.
Drogba seems certain to quit Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, as he wants a new challenge, and he has stated in the past that he will either end up in Milan or Barcelona.
The signing of Gerrard meanwhile is more unlikely, although the Liverpool captain may be tempted to move if he is unconvinced about his current club’s chances to win the Premiership next season.
Other players to be linked with Milan in the press this morning, include Stuttgart star Mario Gomez, and CSKA Moscow’s Brazilian striker Jo.
